Bio

Janean Christine Mariani writes and sings stripped-down, bare-bones acoustic Americana songs of life, love, loss, and every now and again a touch of sass and blues. No matter the size of the audience or venue, her intimate style makes folks feel at home, as though she's singing to them in the comfort of their living room or gathered 'round a kitchen table. Her live performances are raw, loose, vulnerable and real -- an aural tapestry of her original compositions and the stories behind them, delicately woven with select covers honoring the revered artists who influenced her professionally and inspired her to become a singer-songwriter. Her EP "Seasons Of The Heart: the Blossoms & the Bones" was released Valentine's Day 2019.  Her forthcoming book of the same title, featuring the artist's memoiristic missives and poetry, has entered the final editing stages and hopeful for release in time for Christmas 2020.

Summer 2020 finds Mariani humbly honored and over the moon excited to be working with one of her professional influences and inspirations, renown UK artist John Reilly, singer-songwriter and frontman for bands Boy On A Dolphin and Acoustic Angels. A formal release date for the single is pending: look for late-Summer/early-Autumn. The transatlantic collaboration will result in a powerful remix of Mariani's song SHE SAID SHE'S LEAVIN' with plans set to donate proceeds to Rape Abuse Incest National Network [RAINN] in the USA and Women's Aid in the UK to help support victims of domestic abuse throughout COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
